- Call up your country's telephone regulatory agency and bitch and
- complain about the law that requires USR make their modems do this.
- Otherwise you could try turning bit1 from S40 off (eg ATS40.1=0) and see
- if that fixes it (if it does you'll be breaking the law BTW, although I
- wouldn't be TOO worried about getting caught for it :> ).

- Hmm, interested. Are you calling the same place? After it
- disconnects, send your modem an ATI6 command and post the reason it gives
- for the disconnect (at the bottom of the page of info).
