  29.     Call up your country's telephone regulatory agency and bitch and
  30. complain about the law that requires USR make their modems do this. 
  31. Otherwise you could try turning bit1 from S40 off (eg ATS40.1=0) and see
  32. if that fixes it (if it does you'll be breaking the law BTW, although I
  33. wouldn't be TOO worried about getting caught for it :> ).

  40.     Hmm, interested.  Are you calling the same place?  After it
  41. disconnects, send your modem an ATI6 command and post the reason it gives
  42. for the disconnect (at the bottom of the page of info).
